» Feature Writer Georgene A. Bramlage - for a come and go informal buffet? Are paper plate ok to use?

In response to for a come and go informal buffet? Are paper plate ok to use? posted by belinda14:
There are such nice paper goods on the market right now, that I want to use them more and more. And, I'm not talking about the big name designer ones either!

I've bought good quality paper goods (in large quantities admittedly, but perfect for a buffet) in very nice seasonal patterns at our local "warehouse club."

Something else I do is look through the reduced basket of paper goods at a local "high end" food store and buy very nice and expensive before reduction seasonal napkins. I store them until the following year and proper season, so I am always prepared. Sometimes, I use them for just my husband and I when I want something a little different to brighten up the day.

Another trick, especially for buffets, is to use paper guest towels for napkins happy they are available in both solid colors and prints, don't look like hand towels, and are thick and absorbent. Store like Bed, Bath & Beyond and Linens & Things always seem to have them (in the bath section!).

Have fun!
