Tips to set up a fail-safe bonfire

Just because the weather has turned a little chilly, don't be afraid to use the outdoors to entertain. My next several articles will discuss great ideas for autumn entertaining outdoors. And what better way to begin than by talking about the perfect bonfire?

To build a great fire, you can use a permanent or temporary fire pit, a chimnea or even a dirt or gravel base. Make sure that your firewood is dry, and that you have enough "starter material."

Follow the campers' advice for a safe and successful fire, and don't forget to follow the rules of Smokey!

Once your fire is blazing, all you need to do is set several patio chairs or benches around it, pull your jacket (and loved one) close, and enjoy the crackle of the embers.
