Picnics are a wonderful way to herald the warm weather of late spring. Pack up an impromptu picnic and meet your significant other for lunch in the park. A light menu served on a soft blanket (complemented with a bottle of your favorite wine) in a beautiful setting can be a sanctuary in an otherwise hectic and stressful work day.
If you don't want to bother making the meal, stuff your basket with sandwiches, chips and cookies from your favorite sub shop, and just enjoy the time together. Remember, entertaining and hospitality is not about going way over the top all the time. Rather, it's about having an enjoyable time sharing your time, talents and treasures with the people you care about.
