Try this suggestion to corral your guests into your appointed party space.
How do you handle a nosy guest? If you've set certain areas of your home as "off-limits" during your party, and still find that a guest is "wandering the halls," try this way to handle the awkward situation.
Greet the guest in a friendly manner, give them an unembarrassing excuse why they would have been snooping, and them redirect them to the party area. I've used the following script successfully:
" Jane! Oh, I'm sorry, but the guest restroom is downstairs. Let me show you the way."
But not asking why the guest is in the off-limits area, you've eliminated a potentially awkward situation in a gracious manner.
