With a couple of quick tricks using Halloween Decorations, you can get your Haunted House ready for entertaining!

Before your guests come for your Halloween Party, prepare your home in the following manner to maximize the eerie effect:

Replace any porch lights with black lightbulbs or reddish tinted ones. You can also install a strobe light to increase the impact.

Drape cobwebs (store-bought are fine) over the bushes, porch furniture, flowerpots, etc. The trick to working with this material is to use a lot of patience! Slowly stretch the cobwebs, and separate it into thin filaments. Secure it in opposite directions, so that the tension is maintained. Otherwise, the cobwebs will get caught in the wind, and form a flag-like appearance waving in the breeze! You can tuck some dead leaves, plastic spiders or other Halloween decorations amidst the cobwebs for an enhanced effect.

Suspend creepy creatures around your entranceway. Use rubber bats, fake ravens, etc. for a more realistic creepy effect, instead of just using plastic skeletons.

Start with these Halloween decorating basics, and add your own personal touches to your space to create more spooky punch for your guests!
