It’s just two more weeks until Daylight Savings Time begins and we turn our clocks ahead. So, although we’ll lose that cherished hour of sleep on the night of March 10th – 11th, let’s think about what we’ll gain …… of course, in an entertaining frame of mind!
With that extra hour of daylight, we can organize our Party Closets, create a delightful floral centerpiece, plan a thematic birthday party for our youngsters, fragrance our homes with aromatic candles, polish our silver chafers and other service pieces, or write some gracious thank you notes. We could also use that extra hour of daylight to address invitations to our planned springtime showers, weddings or graduation parties. And of course, we could always use that extra time to scour our local wholesale, discount and department stores, looking to add that perfect piece of linen or silverware to add to our entertaining supplies.
Any way you look at it, losing that coveted hour of sleep on the 10th is just a short term pain that will result in a long term gain. Enjoy it!
