This Party Planning and Easy Entertaining Tip shows you how to decorate for a 1950's themed party.

Having a 1950s themed party, and need a great idea for centerpieces? Read on!

Have you thought about using old vinyl in your theme?  You could use inexpensive vases of flowers (think 1950's kitsch --- how about oversized pink and teal carnations, with touches of gray/silver metallic sprays or tulle tucked into the bouquets), and hot glue old 45 records to the four sides of each vase.

You could even drape some fuzzy dice around the vase.

Scatter some confetti on each table -- keep it in the color theme -- and then place the vases in the center.

Another direction to take, would be to include 1950s retro candies scattered on the table.  How about Bazooka gum, Moon Pies, Jujubes, etc.  Look at groovycandies.com for more ideas.
