Discussion of Centerpieces for your entertaining needs

Practical Definition

A CENTERPIECE as defined in the entertaining industry is generally an ornamental object or objects used in a central position on a table or buffet. A centerpiece can be created from plants and flowers, candles, food, or any type of thematic elements. It may be composed of a single element, or it may be a larger display created from multiple items.

Example

The dining table centerpieces for the 1950s themed party were created from rectangular prism vases that were filled with gaudy mums and carnations in shades of pink and teal. The flowers were reminiscent of 1950s high school dance corsages, and this theme was further developed by attached old 45 vinyl records to the exterior of the vases.
