If it's just you and your significant other for the holidays this year, you can enjoy an intimate Thanksgiving Dinner for Two. Just because the guest list will be small doesn't mean that you can't celebrate a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. Follow the guidelines below to host your own intimate Thanksgiving dinner for the two of you.

- Create a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on a smaller scale. Dress your dining room table in its finest apparel. However, since there will just be two for dinner, try these tricks to create a sense of intimacy. If your table is rectangular, set the placesettings on the sides of the table (as opposed to the ends of the table). This arrangement will allow you to be physically closer to your dinner companion, and will create a cozier atmosphere. Opt for a themed centerpiece and use your best table linens, china, crystal and silverware. Use multiple pillar candles or votives in holders along the midline of the table, and dim the lights.

- You can adapt a traditional Thanksgiving menu to your specific needs. By planning effectively, you can make many items a day or two in advance, and lighten the work load on Thanksgiving.
