No one wants guests to know just how messy their house can be. Easy and quick cleaning can be done on a moment’s notice, especially when good habits are put in place beforehand. Good cleaning habits, like keeping objects in their place and observing proper hygiene can go a long way to quickly making the house presentable. Consider these quick cleaning tips.
Regular Dishwashing
When the dishes are clean, tidying the rest of the kitchen is a much quicker job. Also, it allows for guests to have refreshments. Cleaning the dishes after each meal or at the end of each day makes the dishwashing job less time consuming. Or with a dishwasher, adding dishes to it after each meal until it is full enough to run, keeps them out of sight and saves the time needed to clean them. Just try not to forget that they are in there.
Regular Washroom Cleaning
The washroom and the kitchen are places in the house that are used regularly by everyone and tend to be the messiest. In addition to keeping dishes clean, ensuring that the washrooms are cleaned regularly is not only more sanitary, but helps when it comes to quickly making the house presentable.
Putting Items Where They Belong
After using items that tend to make a room look a mess if not put in their proper place, last minute tidying is much easier if these items are put away in the first place. These are items such as towels on the towel rack, books and movies on the shelf and cushions on the couch or chair rather than the floor. Also, when items are not put where they belong right away, they may have a tendency to get lost and cleaning up is a great way to find them.
Organized Clutters
If objects are not put away regularly, they are better kept in piles of objects that match each other. Papers, for example, that need to be sorted when time allows for it, can be stacked together and the stack put where it looks like it belongs, such as in a desk drawer.
When it comes time for a quick clean up, move these organized clutters to where they better belong and pick up any garbage. Nothing looks messier than garbage that has yet to be thrown out. Also, a quick sweep or vacuum works wonders when making the house look cleaner.
Recruit Help
In a family home, it is not just one person making the mess in the house. Most likely, everyone makes the mess, therefore it only makes sense that everyone should help clean it. The last minute tidying up is that much easier and quicker with help.
Cleaning house does not have to be a burden and a messy house need not hinder the last minute invitation of guests. With good cleaning habits in place and a few tips, a house can be presentable in just a few minutes.
