The candy buffet craze is on the rise. A candy buffet is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, drawing party guests to a mouthwatering array of salivating sweets.

Nowadays, brides are opting for the delicious display of decadent treats. It complements the wedding ambiance, giving people a chance to choose whatever tempts their taste buds. But candy buffets aren’t just for weddings anymore. People have gone beyond weddings and have branched out to adding a sweet twist to other special events. Here are some that are perfect venues for a candy buffet:

Candy Buffets Make Birthdays Fun

One fun event where candy buffets have made their appearance is at birthday parties. First birthday party themes especially are limitless and so are ideas for candy buffets. A popular theme and perfect complement to a candy buffet is the Candyland theme. Imagine a long table covered with bright orange, yellow, pink, or lime green fabric showcasing glass jars of different shapes and sizes filled with colorful candies such as M&Ms, Skittles, lollipops, gummy bears, and pixie sticks.

For a non-sugar or low sugar alternative, Cheerios or Kix cereals, Baby Mum-Mum or Toddler Mum-Mum crackers, or Gerber Graduates Puffs in clear or colorful bowls are great choices.

Candy Buffets Make High School Proms and Graduations More Festive

High school proms are great events to feature a candy buffet. The table could be dressed in class colors and the choice of candy could be specific to those colors as well. For example, if the senior class color is red and white, the table could be draped with red fabric and decorate it with white ribbon and white confetti. Great choices for the buffet would be red and white candy such as red M&Ms, red Twizzlers, white mints, yummy marshmallows (or mini marshmallows) drizzled with strawberry syrup, or even strawberries dipped in white chocolate. Each student has a souvenir to take home from their memorable affair.

For a high school graduation party, the graduate could offer snacks to her fellow graduates such as Chex mix, popcorn, pretzels, nuts, and some chocolate candy. Just a simple but inviting display of buffet treats on a table covered in school colors.

Candy Buffets Are a Great Way to Say “Thank You” at Baby or Bridal Showers

What better way to say “thank you” to guests than a delectable selection of yummy treats in decorative containers for them to take home? Baby and bridal showers are wonderful events to showcase a candy buffet because of its attractive appeal. The themes and colors can be according to the gender of the baby or the wedding’s colors.

For example, if the mom-to-be is having a girl, the buffet table could be covered in all pink or pastel colors, from the table cloth to the ribbons and buffet boxes. Any kind of candy, and any color, will do as the display will stand out and attract guests. As with high school proms, the hostess of a bridal shower can decorate the table in the wedding colors and choose candy specific to the colored theme.

These events are just a few of the endless possibilities to feature a candy buffet. Anniversaries, retirement parties, corporate events – these venues are also perfect opportunities and the set-up would be similar to the ones mentioned above. The main thing to remember is to make the table festive by adding metallic paper, shiny ribbons, and confetti. Candy buffets are meant to liven up the ambiance and add fun and color to any party.
