Although fathers should be made to feel special and loved for every day of the year, however, Father’s Day should be an occasion that all fathers should look forward to and children of all ages must make an effort to strengthen and deepen this special bond. Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June and is generally, a day when most fathers receive gifts and extra-special treatment from their children.

Have a Father-Child Day Out
Giving fathers the gift of time is probably the best way to show love and affection. This year, cancel everything scheduled on Father’s Day and spend the whole day with your father. Father’s day can be a perfect occasion to try out a new experience together. If time and distance are a constraint, then the experience could be a shorter one, such as trying out a new cuisine.

Create a photo slideshow using those prints and any good photo software, such as Picasa. Arrange the photos chronologically, starting from the time of your birth till date. Give the pictures appropriate captions and then, sit and watch the slideshow together and take a trip down memory lane.
Take a Holiday Together
Since Father’s Day does fall on a Sunday, it is a good time to plan a short holiday for just the two of you or if there are siblings, invite them to join. A road trip to a nearby destination would be ideal since the journey, too, would be a time to chat and catch up with each other. And if it could be a surprise holiday, the joy would be much more.
Gift A Basket of Special Dad GoodiesThere are always things that fathers would want but not buy for themselves, simply because it seems too expensive or unnecessary. So, use this Father's Day to gift a hamper of goodies-perfume, electronics, books, and yes, the usual clothes and accessories as well. However, make sure that they are truly special and exclusive. Have a special inscription engraved on one or two things and do include those things that he would not usually indulge on.

The traditional gifts and cards do work well but ideas like these would not only be different, but also, show the depth of your love and respect for the most important man in your life.
